At 3 hours, this ATV adventure takes you on an action-tour of changing landscapes, mountain views and see a hot springs on this amazing tour. It’s good to be comfortable with driving an ATV if you want to join this tour.
The tour starts with an adventurous ride in the back lands of Reykjavik old lava field all the way to the Hengill mountain range and Geothermal Powerplant the power plant for the capital area. You follow the trails into the mountain range to a valley called Instidalur. And if you thought the drive up was amazing, wait ‘til you see the views: In good weather conditions, you can see all the way from the whole Hengill volcanic area to the south coast beach and Eyjafjallajökull glacier.

Requirements
All drivers need to have a valid driver’s licence and a minimum age of 17 years old.
What to bring
Since the weather is unpredictable, always bring comfortable outdoor clothes, warm layers, with waterproof and windproof outer-layers. Jeans are not suitable clothing; a waterproof jacket and a warm sweater are highly recommended. Proper shoes are essential. This means no high heels, sandals, flip flops or open-toed shoes. It’s best to wear waterproof boots. You or your passenger can wear a small backpack or a camera bag while riding on an ATV. Please ensure all zips, straps, and flaps are secured when your vehicle is in motion. Bring your personal daily medications if required – please let us know of any allergies or medical conditions that you may require assistance with.
Payment and cancellation
Full payment is required at time of booking to secure your place. We require 24 hrs notice of cancellation for a refund. Any cancellation made within less than 24 hours prior to departure will be fully charged.
Itinerary changes
At all times your safety is our first priority. You can expect any kind of weather in Iceland. For this reason, the tour itinerary may be subject to change the sights without notice or the tour might be canceled due to weather, or other unforeseen circumstances. If the timing changes, we will need your valid mobile phone number to contact you and inform you of the time change. Please don’t forget to fill out your phone number on the booking form. If the tour is canceled, you can choose to receive a full refund or to reschedule your tour for another day. We make every effort to avoid any such changes wherever possible.
Pickup / Meeting point
Meeting point: Lambhagavegur 19, 113 Reykjavik Pickup from Reykjavík hotels is optional. Please note that we offer pick-up service from authorized pickup points in Reykjavik downtown area. We can unfortunately not offer pick-up service from Airbnb or private apartments. If your pick-up location is not on our pick up list in the booking form then we kindly ask you to locate the closest pick-up point to your accommodation. It might take up to 30 min for our guides to reach your pick-up point, so please wait patiently for us to arrive. As much as possible be prepared and ready to go.
Medical conditions
Persons with recent surgery, back injuries or who are pregnant are not recommended to participate in the ATV tours. Please contact us if you have any questions.
