1. Cancellations and refunds

All cancellations must be made in writing to info@buggyadventures.is.

Day tours – flexible cancellation:

Cancelled at least 24 hours in advance – full refund
Cancelled less than 24 hours in advance – no refund
If a participant does not show up or cancels on location – no refund

Group cancellations:

100% refund: more than 14 days’ notice
50% refund: less than 14 days’ notice
No refund: less than 7 days’ notice

The consumption of alcohol and drugs is not permitted on our tours. We reserve the right to ask participants to take a breathalyser test if our guides suspect that they are under the influence, and to refuse them participation. Participants who arrive under the influence are not entitled to a refund.

2. Discount codes

Discount codes cannot be applied after a booking has been made. A discount code must be entered during checkout, before payment.

3. Pick-up and drop-off

Buggy Adventures offers pick-up and drop-off for all tours. If you have bought the pick-up service, read your voucher carefully and check the times — when you need to be ready in the hotel lobby, or whether your hotel is in an area where we don’t pick up. As the traveller, you are responsible for being in the right place at the right time and for telling us where you are staying. If you are unsure about the location or the time, email us at info@buggyadventures.is. If you miss your pick-up, you are not entitled to a refund.

4. Meeting us on location

If you did not buy the pick-up service and plan to meet us on location, read your voucher carefully — it gives clear directions to our base. You are responsible for arriving at the base on time. If you arrive late, after the departure time, you are not entitled to a refund.

5. Icelandic weather and conditions

Buggy Adventures is not liable for damage to property, loss, injury, illness or other matters attributable to weather, natural disasters or other causes beyond our control. Buggy Adventures is not liable for cancelled flights or delays that may affect your booking; the 24-hour cancellation rule still applies. All our tours depend on weather and conditions. Icelandic weather can change quickly and without warning. We reserve the right to change routes and departure times or to cancel your tour without notice, with your safety as our guiding principle.

6. Valid driving licence

To drive, you must hold a valid driving licence from your home country. Passengers do not need a driving licence. At the base you sign a liability waiver confirming this.

7. Risk on buggy tours

Buggy tours are undertaken at the participants’ own risk. Buggy Adventures is not liable for accidents that participants cause themselves or that are attributable to their own actions. Before departure, participants sign a liability waiver confirming that they understand that all motorised outdoor activities carry an inherent risk and that full responsibility rests with the participant.

Terms
